Our Stage 2 programme is designed for those interested in gaining employment, but who are not quite ready to join the workforce yet, whether that be down to requiring additional skills, being unsure of what options are available to them or the path that they want to take, or even a lack of motivation.
Over the course of the programme, trainees will spend 3 days a week for 12 weeks in our classroom facilities, covering a variety of areas, including:
SQA Course Work (units will cover core skills as well as employability)
General Employability Skills, such as administration, IT, and customer service, as well as CV creation
Life Skills, such as budgeting and money management
A range of our Personal Development Workshops, including a magazine project, which aim to inspire and motivate our trainees and get them to think about their passions
Areas for Progression, such as potential work experience opportunities, relevant academic courses, modern apprenticeships and internships in the trainee's local area
We aspire to make our programme as tailored as possible, and will work to identify areas of interest to our trainees, as well as find out what their natural skills and talents are, and how we can develop and improve their skills and knowledge in those areas.
